The classic pack trip moves daily from place to place, covering miles of wild terrain under the watchful eye of the Condor. We carry our camp with us and enjoy the warmth and kitchen provided by the camp fire, using the asado and disc to create delectable dinners in a home from home with a moving ceiling of galaxies to study. We also visit local farms en route and may be lucky enough to try the famous Cordero Patagonico (Patagonian lamb) and other delights of the region!
Our itineraries are flexible, but three to four nights normally allow us ample time for these one ways trips, which involve about six hours in the saddle per day. We can head for the Patagonian Steppe, the deep Andes or glistening lakes... Our extraordinary Lake District home gives us access to fantastic variation in terrain, as well as the opportunity to explore other passions during our rides such as painting, photography and remote fly fishing. If you have a little time on your hands, an Andes Crossing to Chile is the opportunity of a lifetime.
≈ 2 days to a week's riding ≈ immersion in nature, vast number of animal and plant species ≈ immensely beautiful and varied landscapes ≈ luxury camps or combinations of camping and estancias ≈ tailor made departure dates ≈ tailor made activites other than riding e.g. fly fishing, riding and painting, white water rafting
Please feel at ease to contact us for any further details, quotations or ideas. We have various pack trips on offer, and select according to group sizes, ages, timeframes etc....
