A 'quick fix' for people on the move, riding to one of the absolute picks of the zone: the Buitrera (Boo-wee-trair-ra), a stunning condoria (or condor castle) close to Bariloche with nearly 100 inhabitants!

Our flagship ride The Buitrera Express provides a unique chance to visit a truly stunning, wild and romantic  place untramped by the local tourist crowd, even if you have a time limit, accompanied by the guarantee of our highly personalised level of attention and taste.

A full days riding passing glistening rivers and beautiful rock formations brings us to our destination, where we usually climb the breathtaking Buitrera on horseback to marvel at the seemingly endless Steppe stretching out into the distance. If we're lucky with conditions, condors will be soaring overhead and below us... a close up encounter you will never forget. The Buitrera glows red at sunset and we watch from our cosy campsite below with a warm drink or even a glass of Malbec.

A nights camping (and feasting!) follows under the stunning stars of the Southern Hemisphere - also known as the Moving Stars Restaurant, before we return you to 'civilisation' the following morning, after this quick taster of a real gaucho experience.

The vast Patagonian Steppe finishes 1000km away at the Atlantic coast. As well as the Andean Condor, this truly fascinating habitat is home to armadillos, guanacos and choique (below left if you have good eyes!), as well as a number of other birds of prey such as the Aguila Mora eagle, carancho, and endemic falcons and owls, to mention just a few of its many inhabitants.

Our short Riding On The Move package includes a night on either side of your ride in San Carlos de Bariloche. Depending on your budget you may opt for hostel accommodation, a boutique hotel or a 5* hotel. We provide the tents, sleeping mats and sleeping bags.

Our Buitrera Ride is available from mid November until mid April and is for small groups  - minimum 2 and maximum of 5. We offer a discount for groups of 3 or more.
