Our Rides, Explained...

The pack trip moves daily from place to place, covering miles of wild terrain under the watchful eye of the endangered Condor. We carry our camp with us and enjoy the warmth and kitchen provided by the camp fire, using the asado and disc to create delectable dinners of authentic mountain cuisine in a home from home with a moving ceiling of galaxies to study. Patagonia's hugely varying landscapes offer a number of distinct pack trips to choose from depending on the time of year and your adventure interests....       For those with more time to spare, an Andes Crossing to Chile returning via the Cruce de Lagos route is a once in a lifetime opportunity, promising utterly unforgettable encounters with both nature and local people, or perhaps you'd enjoy one of our a Photography Adventures.

For families with children impatient to pack up each day,  we can organise a comfy yet remote base (camping or staying with local friends) for daily riding, and also focus on other passions: fly fishing in season - the opportunity of a lifetime for fishing enthusiasts - or painting under the instruction of the inspirational prizewinning English artist Davina Bosanquet who visits once or twice a year with her tools and incredible aura.

For those less interested in sleeping out under the starry Patagonian skies and dining around a camp fire, rest assured that our stunning Lake District home can be enjoyed on horseback extremely well with the comfort of a roof over one's head! How about exploring one of our Riding With a Roof options! A stay at our Local Lakeside Retreat, with a resident horse-whisperer and daily riding (as much or as little as you please), still offers a fantastic authentic Patagonian experience along with top of the range luxuries and exclusivity, or, you could opt for an experience of pure Patagonian paradise on the shores of the Mascardi Lake at the remote Hotel Tronador: a stunning slice of heaven, extraordinary beauty, and utterly fantastic riding and fly fishing.

For a chance to experience real untainted gaucho family life and its intertwinement with the horse, a stay with the enormously welcoming Chamorro Family at the ancient village of Cuyín Manzano is a perfect suggestion and a unique chance to experience something a bit different; as well as an amazing cultural opportunity, an enormous area of the Nahual Huapi National Park can be explored with them on horseback whilst combining nights in their house, mountain refugios  and tents. Depending on the season, there's plenty of work to be done should you wish to take part! Contact us if you are interested in cattle moving as soon as you can.

And finally, a ride followed by either a wine tour in the Mendoza region or sea kayaking amongst whales in our neighbouring province Chubut, will satisfy even the most imaginative adventurer.
